The proptech startup Unlatch plans to use funds to expand into Spain and the UK
Today Unlatch, a French pioneer in digital real estate sales, has announced raising €5.2 million in a round led by AXA Venture Partners. The funds will be used to add new services and features and accelerate the internationalization of the business, particularly in Spain and the United Kingdom.
Unlatch (2018) is a B2B software solution for residential real estate professionals (developers, marketers, landlords, etc.) which streamlines and simplifies the entire sales process while enriching the relationship with buyers. In just over two years, Unlatch has been adopted by nearly 250 proptech players, including Quartus, Constructa, Emerige, Demathieu Bard Real Estate, Aqprim, among others.
Since mid-March 2020 and the beginning of lockdown, Unlatch has recorded a 25% increase in its activity. The health crisis has had an accelerating effect on a fundamental trend – the digitalization of the real estate sector.
“We are very pleased to partner with AXA Venture Partners to implement our international development strategy and welcome François Robinet who joins our Board. AVP has a strong international dimension and we could not hope for a better shareholder to help us accelerate the already very fast growth of Unlatch”, said François Marill and Thomas Rivoire, co-founders of Unlatch.
“As an investor, we are delighted to support Unlatch and are convinced that the quality of the team and the effectiveness of its solution make a real difference in a rapidly changing real estate market. Real estate transactions are complex transactions that can massively benefit from the digitalization of processes so that they are more efficient and collaborative. This is precisely what Unlatch’s technology allows and we are very happy to contribute to this evolution. The Covid-19 crisis has been a catalyst for faster adoption of digital solutions. Unlatch has anticipated this movement and will try to innovate in France and internationally. We are proud to support François, Thomas, Olivier and all their teams in their development projects,” commented François Robinet, Managing Partner of AXA Venture Partners.
